The island’s tiny size should not be a judging factor of the duration you should spend in Sri Lanka. People have spent years but still not have been able to see all that Sri Lanka offers. To make the maximum use of your time in Sri Lanka, it is best to have a planned itinerary. An itinerary is important for your Sri Lankan vacation because it helps to plan your visits while keeping in mind factors like traffic, travel distance, etc.

Planning an itinerary by yourself is hard because you are not aware of the actual geographical distance, the travel time, etc between attractions which is why you should hand over the responsibility to Arooha. You have the option of choosing a pre-planned itinerary or requesting us to custom make an itinerary covering attractions that fit your interest.

Since Sri Lanka offers everything from wildlife to beaches and culture to Ayurveda, there are many routes you can choose. If you are spending 3 days in Sri Lanka, you can start with Kandy, then Dambulla and finally Colombo. An ideal 4-day itinerary covers cities like Kandy, Ella, Sigiriya, Dambulla and Colombo. A 5 or 6-day itinerary provides more time to explore with a choice of different routes. Cities like Unawatuna, Mirissa, Nuwara Eliya, Polonnaruwa, Galle and attractions like Yala National Park, Udawalawe national park can be included. If you are spending more than a week in Sri Lanka, you will have enough time to explore the beaches down south or in the east coast, go on a wildlife safari, experience the cultural attractions and unwind with an ayurvedic massage or two.
