Visa type - Short term visa

Documents Required

TOURIST VISA

1. Completed application form
2. Printed receipt with reference number if applied via the Application Portal
3. Two (02) recent passport size photographs (see instructions attached)
4. Current and previous passports
5. Copies of bio-data, amendment pages, and all previous visa pages of the passport
6. Proof of personal income / Bank statements
7. Business registration - if it is your own company
8. Letter from employer / school (whichever is applicable) granting leave
9. Travel itinerary (do not purchase air ticket until positive decision is received from the Embassy)
10. Confirmed hotel booking / Cruise reservation / Guided Tour reservation etc (whichever is applicable)
11. Travel Insurance covering the entire Schengen area for a minimum amount of € 30,000 for the duration applied for (as per travel plan submitted).
12. Proof of real estate property or residence: Gramasevaka Letter certified by the Divisional Secretary
13. Proof of family ties: birth certificate, marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of deceased spouse, etc
14. If a minor travels alone or only with one parent: consent of parental authority or legal guardian and birth certificate and copies of parents' passports or District Court appointment decree
15. A travel program/itinerary of the visit: detailed information about all the tourist attractions and places of interest the applicant plans to visit including dates, transportation, hotel information, etc

Visitor Visa

1. Completed application form(Not necessary if applied via Application Portal)
2. Two (02) recent passport size photographs (see instructions attached)
3. Current and previous passports
4. Copies of bio-data, amendment pages, and all previous visa pages of the passport
5. A non-refundable handling fee of 60 € (SL Rs. 10500/- subject to fluctuation of exchange rate)
6. Invitation from family/friend(s) stating purpose of visit etc.
7. Proof of personal income / Bank statements documenting own means to cover minimum travel and NOK 500,-per day of stay. If this is not relevant ,there shall be submitted:
   • For Norway : Original "Guarantee Form for visit " (obtained by sponsor from nearest Police Station in Norway).
   • For Denmark – form VU2 (refer www.nyidanmark.dk for more details)
   • For Sweden – Invitation (form 241011) – completed by the sponsor.
   • For Lithuania- The applicants should submit an invitation letter from the reference in Lithuania
   • For Iceland: Original 'Guarantee Form for visits' + 1 copy (refer to www.utl.is for more details)
8. Documentation relating to sponsor's income. Copy of bio-data page of sponsor's passport
9. Letter from employer / school (whichever is applicable) granting leave
10. Business registration, Form 48 - if it is your own company
11. company's bank statements for the last three months
12. Proof of relationship to sponsor – by relevant birth and/or marriage certificates
13. Travel itinerary (do not purchase air ticket until positive decision is received from the Embassy)
14. Travel Insurance covering the entire Schengen area for a minimum amount of € 30,000 for the duration applied for (as per travel plan submitted).
15. If a minor travels alone or only with one parent: consent of parental authority or legal guardian and birth certificate and copies of parents' passports or District Court appointment decree.

Business Visa

1. Completed application form
2. Printed receipt with reference number if applied via the Application Portal
3. For Sweden - Applicants must fill the Appendix A form with the application.
4. Two (02) recent passport size photographs (see instructions attached)
5. Current and previous passports (Observe that Official Passports from Sri Lanka are not recognized by Denmark and Estonia according to the Visa Code Handbook Annex 10)
6. Copies of bio-data, amendment pages, and all previous visa pages of the passport
7. Invitation from principals/company in Norway/Denmark/Iceland/Sweden/Finland (which is applicable)
8. For Denmark - duly completed Invitation form for business purposes – VU1 from the principals/company in Denmark. (Refer www.nyidanmark.dk for more details) For Sweden – Questionnaire for visa applicants – Appendix A
9. Letter from company/employer in Sri Lanka indicating purpose and duration of visit, date of appointment, profession, salary particulars and contract of employment
10. Proof of business registration of company/employer in Sri Lanka
11. form 48 (Companies Act)
12. Bank statements of the company/employer for the past 3 months
13. Pay slips for the last three months
14. Travel itinerary (do not purchase air ticket until positive decision is received from the Embassy)
15. Travel Insurance covering the entire Schengen area for a minimum amount of € 30,000 for the duration applied for (as per travel plan submitted).
16. Proof of financial means (current personal or family bank statements/ account savings books) with balance confirmation letter from the bank. Proof of real estate property or residence: Gramasevaka Letter certified by the Divisional Secretary
